Recreational League
All of our recreational teams are coached by volunteers and are designed to help players improve regardless of their skill or experience level. Expect a mixture of beginners and experienced players. Our player development model includes coaches discussing The Legacy Story during each practice. Teams practice 1 or 2 nights/week @ 5:00pm or later for 60-90 minutes.
All teams will compete in the Union County Youth Soccer League (includes teams from Waxhaw, Weddington, Indian Trail, and Mint Hill). All practices will be held at Southbrook Church but games will be played at various locations in Union County mostly on Saturdays with some occasional Sunday afternoons.
Academies & Camps (Summer/Winter)
Our Soccer Academies & Camps are designed to help players learn to enhance basic soccer fundamentals (dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive positioning, etc.) in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Expect a mixture of beginners and experienced players along with plenty of scrimmage/game play. Age range varies. Our player development model includes coaches discussing The Legacy Story during each session.
What happens if there are not enough players in a division?
If we are unable to get enough coaches and/or players to create a full team in any division, we will look at combining multiple divisions (making the age gap larger) before canceling anything. If cancellation is necessary, registrants will receive a full refund.
What's the difference between Academies and Camps?
Academies run for 3-8 weeks with 1-2 sessions per week each lasting 75-90 minutes. Camps run 4 consecutive days (M/T/W/TH) with each session lasting 2-4 hours each. Both are designed to meet the description listed above with the main difference being the time frame.
